Royal Enfield set to launch all-new Himalayan tomorrow
New Himalayan is expected to be priced around the Rs 2.60 lakh mark.
Royal Enfield will launch the new Himalayan tomorrow at its MotoVerse biking festival (previously known as Rider Mania).
The new Himalayan debuts Royal Enfield’s first, modern liquid-cooled engine with elements such as DOHC architecture and a 4-valve head. Christened the Sherpa 450, it makes 40hp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of torque at 5,500rpm, making it the torquiest Indian single-cylinder engine. This new motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
