Renault Launches Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition at ₹5.14 Lakh

Renault India has marked the 10th anniversary of its popular Kwid model by launching a limited edition variant and refreshing its entire lineup with enhanced safety and styling features.

The company will produce only 500 units of the 10th Anniversary Edition, based on the Techno variant and priced at ₹5.14 lakhs for manual transmission and ₹5.63 lakhs for AMT variants, ex-showroom across India.

The anniversary edition features two new dual-tone color combinations: Fiery Red with Black Roof and Shadow Grey with Black Roof. Design enhancements include shiny black flex wheels, anniversary decals on doors and C-pillar, and a distinctive yellow grille insert.

Interior upgrades include anniversary-themed seat designs, yellow accents throughout the cabin, a leatherette steering wheel with metal mustard stitching, illuminated scuff plates, and puddle lamps.

Beyond the anniversary edition, Renault has upgraded the entire Kwid range with safety improvements. All variants now feature three-point seatbelts for every seat, while the Climber variant has been enhanced with six airbags for improved occupant protection.

The company has also simplified its variant nomenclature, renaming the lineup to Evolution (previously RXL), Techno (previously RXT), and Climber variants.

Venkatram Mamillapalle, Managing Director of Renault India, stated that the Kwid has been instrumental in shaping the company's journey in India, redefining the entry segment through innovation and accessibility with over 95% localization.

The Kwid range now starts at ₹4.29 lakhs ex-showroom, while AMT variants begin at ₹4.99 lakhs. The model continues to be powered by a 1.0-liter SCe engine, available with either manual or Easy-R AMT transmissions.

Since its launch, the Kwid has established itself as a disruptor in India's entry-level car segment with its SUV-inspired design, digital features, and competitive ownership costs. The vehicle maintains a ground clearance of 184mm and robust suspension for enhanced drivability.

Renault India operates through a network of over 430 sales outlets and 490 service touchpoints, including 250 Workshop on Wheels locations nationwide. The company manufactures vehicles at its Oragadam facility in Chennai, which has an annual production capacity of 480,000 units.
