Renault India Reduces Vehicle Prices by Up to ₹96,000 Following GST 2.0 Benefits
French automaker passes on complete tax savings to customers across entire product lineup, with revised pricing effective from September 22 coinciding with Navratri festivities.
Renault India announced today that it will transfer the complete benefits of GST 2.0 to customers, resulting in price reductions of up to ₹96,395 across its vehicle portfolio. The revised pricing structure will be implemented for all deliveries starting September 22, 2025.
The price cuts affect Renault's three primary models in India: the KWID, Triber, and Kiger. The entry-level KWID now starts at ₹4.29 lakh, while both the Triber and Kiger begin at ₹5.76 lakh following the adjustments.
Venkatram Mamillapalle, Managing Director of Renault India, stated that the decision reflects the company's customer-focused approach. The timing of the price revision aligns with the Navratri festival season, traditionally considered auspicious for major purchases in India.
The KWID sees price reductions ranging from ₹40,095 to ₹55,095 across its variants. The Triber's price cuts span from ₹53,695 to ₹80,195, while the Kiger experiences the most substantial reductions, with savings extending up to ₹96,395 on select variants.
Customers can begin booking vehicles at the new prices immediately at all authorized Renault dealerships across India, though deliveries at revised rates will commence from September 22.
Renault operates a manufacturing facility in Chennai with an annual production capacity of 480,000 units. The company maintains a network of over 430 sales outlets and 490 service centers throughout India, including 250 mobile Workshop on Wheels locations.
The price reduction initiative is expected to enhance the competitive positioning of Renault's vehicles in the Indian market during the upcoming festive season, when automobile sales traditionally experience increased activity.
