The Mahindra Vision S is a concept SUV unveiled by Mahindra & Mahindra on August 15, 2025, as part of their Vision series, which also includes the Vision T, Vision X, and Vision SXT concepts.

Design and Positioning: The Vision S has a muscular, boxy design with a tall, upright stance, flared wheel arches, a six-slat grille, and a flat clamshell bonnet with vents, inspired by the Scorpio lineup. Its rugged yet refined look is likened to the Land Rover Defender. It’s positioned as a potential sub-4-meter SUV, possibly a compact "baby Scorpio" or an electric Scorpio variant.

Platform: Built on Mahindra’s new NU.IQ platform, it supports petrol, diesel, electric, and hybrid powertrains. The platform is modular, allowing vehicle lengths from 3.99 to 4.3 meters with a 2,665 mm wheelbase, and includes a 5-link rear suspension and Davinci damper technology for agility and comfort.

Electric Focus: Teasers suggest the Vision S may preview an electric Scorpio (potentially Scorpio.e), with a closed-off grille and sleek design hinting at electrification, aligning with Mahindra’s sustainable mobility goals.

Features and Interior: While interior details are sparse, it’s expected to feature a premium cabin with a large touchscreen, Level-2 ADAS, and a panoramic sunroof. The platform offers a flat second-row floor with 229 mm of space and a boot capacity of around 644 liters.

Launch Timeline: As a near-production prototype, the Vision S is expected to enter series production by 2027, likely the first of the Vision concepts to launch.

Public Sentiment: There’s excitement around its rugged yet sporty design, seen as ideal for both city and off-road use, with potential as a Scorpio-branded SUV in Mahindra’s future lineup.

The Vision S aligns with Mahindra’s plan to electrify iconic models like the Scorpio, Thar, and Bolero, and could be a next-generation Bolero or compact Scorpio.

Its design and platform versatility suggest it targets both Indian and global markets, emphasizing off-road capability and modern tech.
