PIERER Mobility AG to Reshuffle Supervisory Board Following KTM Restructuring

PIERER Mobility AG has announced significant upcoming changes to its Supervisory Board as part of a broader strategic realignment of the group. Stephan Zöchling (Chairman), Rajiv Bajaj (Deputy Chairman), and Friedrich Roithner will resign from their roles at the conclusion of the company’s next Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for June 23, 2025.

The company stated that the resignations follow the successful restructuring of the KTM companies, a key subsidiary of PIERER Mobility AG, known globally for its high-performance motorcycles under brands such as KTM, Husqvarna, and GASGAS. The restructuring marks a new phase in the company’s evolution, prompting a refreshed Supervisory Board to guide its next chapter.

At the AGM, shareholders will vote on the election of three new members to the Supervisory Board: Dinesh Thapar, Chief Financial Officer of Bajaj Auto Limited, along with legal professionals Ernst Chalupsky and Ewald Oberhammer. The proposed appointments suggest a continued deepening of ties with Indian automotive giant Bajaj Auto, which holds a significant stake in PIERER Mobility AG.

Rajiv Bajaj’s resignation is particularly notable, given his dual role as Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Bajaj Auto. His departure, paired with the nomination of Bajaj Auto’s CFO, signals a transition in representation rather than a retreat of influence.

PIERER Mobility AG is an Austria-based manufacturer of powered two-wheelers, operating globally across Europe, North America, Mexico, and other international markets. The company develops, produces, and sells motorcycles under the KTM, Husqvarna Motorcycles, MV Agusta, and GASGAS brands, as well as motorcycle suspension and components under the WP brand. It also manufactures and distributes sports cars via its KTM X-BOW division.

In addition to its motorcycle operations, PIERER Mobility AG is involved in the development and sale of bicycles and e-bikes under brands such as Husqvarna E-Bicycles and GASGAS Bicycles. The company has strategic partnerships, including with Bajaj Auto in India and CFMOTO in China, to expand its global reach.

The final decision on the new Supervisory Board composition will be made at the AGM on June 23, 2025.
