Ola Electric launches EV software upgrade, MoveOS 4

Ola Electric, India’s largest EV manufacturer, has officially launched MoveOS 4, a comprehensive software upgrade for its scooters. The nationwide rollout will enable all Ola customers to receive over-the-air (OTA) upgrades, unlocking new features and improvements. The MoveOS 4 update not only enhances performance but also introduces access and safety controls, ensuring a seamless and improved riding experience for users.

Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer at Ola Electric Technologies, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, “MoveOS has always been one of the most technically advanced OS and is always evolving with the help of regular upgrades; MoveOS 4 ensures that our vehicles stay future-proof and our customers get the best of Ola’s technology.”

MoveOS 4 brings over 100 features and improvements to Ola's scooter portfolio, including S1 Gen 1, S1 Pro (2nd Generation), and S1 Air. Key features include Ola Maps with improved navigation, enhanced riding features like 'Hill Descent Control' and 'Cruise Control in eco-mode,' AI-Based Indicator Control, 'Favorites-Only Calling,' 'Resettable Tripmeters,' "Moods" feature, and a unique 'Concert Mode' for synchronized music and light shows across multiple Ola scooters.

The Ola Electric App (Companion App) also receives a makeover with the introduction of a 'Ride Journal,' 'Dark Mode,' and phone widgets. MoveOS 4 focuses on the ownership experience with advanced control features, including Geofencing, Timefencing, ride mode limitations, 'Tamper Detection,' 'Fall Detection,' and passcode reset options. The upgrade aims to make Ola scooters more efficient, convenient, entertaining, and secure.

Ola recently expanded its scooter portfolio, offering a range of options, including the flagship S1 Pro (2nd Generation), S1 Air, and S1 X series, catering to various rider preferences.
