Nissan Launches Magnite KURO Special Edition with All-Black Theme; Priced from ₹8.30 Lakhs

Nissan Motor India Private Limited (NMIPL) has launched the New Nissan Magnite KURO Special Edition, a new variant of its compact SUV featuring an all-black design theme. The vehicle is now available for booking across Nissan dealerships and via the company’s official website at an initial booking amount of ₹11,000. The ex-showroom starting price in Delhi is ₹8.30 lakhs.

The KURO Special Edition, derived from the Japanese word for "black," emphasizes a cohesive dark aesthetic across both exterior and interior elements. The model is offered with both turbo-petrol and naturally aspirated petrol engine options, aiming to cater to varied customer preferences within the compact SUV segment.

Key exterior features include a piano black front grille, resin black front and rear skid plates, gloss black roof rails, black door handles, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The vehicle also features signature black LED headlamps with LightSabre turn indicators, enhancing visibility and road presence. A distinctive ‘KURO’ badge is positioned on the left fender to mark the special edition.

Inside, the cabin adopts a midnight black theme with piano black accents on the gear shift garnish, steering wheel insert, sun visors, and door trims. Standard equipment includes a Sable Black wireless charger, while a stealth dash cam is available as an accessory. The model also comes equipped with a Premium i-Key offering walk-away lock and approach unlock functionality, along with an advanced driver assist display.

Nissan has introduced a 3D configurator on its website to support the launch, allowing customers to explore the vehicle’s design and features through photorealistic visuals and interactive elements.

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, stated that the KURO Special Edition was developed in response to customer demand for a distinct, feature-rich variant with a premium appearance. He noted that the previous iteration of the KURO edition had received strong market response, and the updated version continues to align with Nissan’s focus on value, innovation, and safety.

The New Nissan Magnite, manufactured in India, recently received a 5-star overall passenger safety rating from Global NCAP, positioning it among the safest vehicles in its segment in India and South Africa. Built on the enhanced CMF-A+ platform, the Magnite includes over 40 standard safety features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), traction control (TCS), hill start assist (HSA), brake assist, and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The body structure incorporates 67% high-tensile steel with strength exceeding 440 MPa.

In addition to the KURO launch, Nissan has expanded the Magnite lineup with a new Metallic Grey exterior color. This option will be available across the N-Connecta, Tekna, and Tekna+ variants, offering buyers additional personalization choices.

The New Nissan Magnite is currently sold in over 65 countries, including both right-hand and left-hand drive markets. With more than 20 segment-first or best-in-class features and over 55 safety-related features, Nissan positions the Magnite as a competitive option in the compact SUV segment.
