Mercedes-Benz India to launch new GLC on August 9

The new GLC will come with two engine options in India, with prices expected to likely to start at approximately Rs 75 lakh.

Mercedes-Benz India has begun accepting bookings at Rs 1.5 lakh for the second-gen GLC SUV ahead of its launch on August 9, 2023. Some Mercedes-Benz dealers had opened bookings unofficially a month ago for the new GLC, which has already been spotted undergoing testing in India. 

New Mercedes GLC: India powertrain details
The new GLC in India will be sold as the GLC 300 petrol and the GLC 220d diesel, and both powertrain options will come with Mercedes-Benz 4Matic off-road tech. Both engines will have 2.0-litre displacement and will be equipped with a 48V integrated started motor, which provides an additional 23hp.

The new GLC made its global debut a year ago and is larger, more luxurious and feature-laden than the outgoing SUV. Its interior is near-identical to the new C-Class and is dominated by two screens – a 12.3-inch unit for the instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen for the infotainment that will come with the new NT7 interface.

New Mercedes GLC expected price, delivery details
Expect Mercedes-Benz India to commence deliveries for the new GLC by late August this year.  Starting price for the new GLC is expected to hover around Rs 75 lakh mark (ex-showroom). It will rival the BMW X3Audi Q5Volvo XC60Lexus NX and Land Rover Discovery Sport in our market.
