Maxvolt Energy Begins Work on Rs 700 Crore Aligarh Battery Facility

Maxvolt Energy Industries announced that it has commenced development work on a Rs 700 crore advanced battery manufacturing facility in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.

Spread across approximately 23,576 square metres (nearly six acres), the plant will be executed in two equal phases of 5 GWh each to take the site's planned annual capacity to 10 GWh. Together with the company's existing operational facility in Duhai, the project will expand Maxvolt's total planned manufacturing base to 12.5 GWh per year.

The facility will produce battery solutions ranging from 1 kW to 5 MW, incorporating battery management systems designed for standard alternating current charging as well as level three and level five direct current fast charging. The project will add dedicated OEM assembly lines, while extending the company's manufacturing footprint into four-wheeler electric passenger vehicle packs alongside its established two-wheeler, three-wheeler, telecom backup, and stationary energy storage operations.

At full operational scale, Maxvolt claims that the project carries an estimated annual revenue potential exceeding Rs 6,800 crore and is projected to generate between 1,500 and 2,000 direct jobs and up to 10,000 indirect employment opportunities across manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and testing.

Commissioning a plant of this size in a single step means validating every line, every supplier and every test protocol at once. Phasing lets us prove the first 5 GWh in live production, carry those learnings into the second, and keep the supply chain ramping at a pace it can actually hold."
