Maruti Suzuki India issues recall for 7,213 Baleno RS due to brake part defect
Maruti Suzuki's authorized dealer workshops will communicate with affected vehicle owners to offer them free replacement of the defective parts.
Maruti Suzuki, India's top car manufacturer, has announced to recall 7,213 units of the Baleno RS manufactured between October 27, 2016 and November 1, 2019.
The recall is due to a possible defect in the vacuum pump that assists the brake function.
Affected vehicle owners will receive communication from Maruti Suzuki's authorized dealer workshops for free replacement of the defective parts.
This recall follows a previous one in January, which affected over 17,000 vehicles due to a faulty airbag controller in the Alto K10, S-Presso, Eeco, Brezza, Baleno and Grand Vitara manufactured between December 8 and January 12. The carmaker in January had also issued a recall of 11,177 Grand Vitara SUVs manufactured between August 8 and November 15, 2022 due to a possible defect in the rear seatbelt mounting brackets.
