Maruti Suzuki India Limited has closed the financial year 2025-26 surpassing total sales of 2 million units for the third consecutive year while setting new all-time records across domestic and export markets.
The company reported total sales of 2,422,713 units for FY 2025-26, up from 2,234,266 units in the previous year. Domestic sales reached a highest-ever 1,861,704 units, while exports hit a record 447,774 units — a sharp jump from 332,585 units in FY 2024-25, reflecting growing global demand for Maruti's vehicles.
Closing out the fiscal year on a strong footing, Maruti Suzuki sold 225,251 units in March 2026, compared to 192,984 units in March 2025. Domestic sales for the month stood at 169,428 units, sales to other OEMs at 8,783 units, and exports at 47,040 units.
The compact segment — comprising popular models like the Baleno, Swift, Dzire, WagonR, and Celerio — continued to be the backbone of sales, contributing 71,789 units in March alone and over 808,000 units for the full year. Utility vehicles, including the Brezza, Grand Vitara, Fronx, Ertiga, and the newly introduced e Vitara, posted 71,356 units in March and nearly 761,000 units annually, reflecting the sustained shift in consumer preference towards SUVs.
The mini segment (Alto and S-Presso) saw a modest dip year-on-year, while the Ciaz sedan has been wound down, with no sales recorded in March 2026. The Eeco van remained a steady performer in the commercial-use space, with over 139,000 units sold during the year. The Super Carry light commercial vehicle also grew, crossing 38,500 units for the year.
With record numbers across every major metric, Maruti Suzuki has firmly reinforced its position as India's dominant automaker heading into FY 2026-27.
