Mahindra Raises Prices by Up to 2.5% on SUV and Commercial Vehicle Range

Mahindra & Mahindra, India's leading sport utility vehicle manufacturer, announced on Thursday that it will raise prices across its internal combustion engine (ICE) SUV and commercial vehicle (CV) lineup by up to 2.5%, with an average increase of 1.6% across the portfolio. The revised prices will come into effect from April 6, 2026.

The company attributed the decision to a combination of cost escalations, without specifying further details. Such increases are common in the automotive sector and are typically driven by rising input costs, supply chain pressures, and inflationary factors.

Buyers of the recently launched XUV7XO will have some relief: the price revision for that model will only apply after deliveries to the first 40,000 price-protected bookings are completed. This measure is aimed at honouring commitments made to early customers who booked the vehicle before the price hike was announced.

Mahindra holds a dominant position in India's utility vehicle segment and has been expanding its SUV lineup aggressively in recent quarters. The price adjustment affects its ICE-powered vehicles; the company's electric vehicle pricing was not mentioned in the announcement.

Founded in 1945, the Mahindra Group is one of India's largest conglomerates, with 324,000 employees across more than 100 countries. The group holds leadership positions in farm equipment, utility SUVs, information technology, and financial services, and is recognised as the world's largest tractor manufacturer by volume. It also has a significant presence in renewable energy, logistics, hospitality, and real estate.
