Exceptional Items in FY26
The company's standalone results for FY26 included exceptional items of ₹16.65 crore, which reduced reported profit before tax. They comprised:
- A ₹9.61 crore additional employee-related expense from the implementation of the new Labour Codes, reported separately as an exceptional item.
- A ₹7.04 crore impairment loss on its 50% equity investment in Lumax Japp Allied Technologies Private Limited
The impairment was recognised after the board approved the sale of the entire stake to Germany-based Japp Holding GmbH in May 2026. The sale was completed in the June quarter of FY27, and Lumax Japp Allied Technologies ceased to be a subsidiary. Its results are included in the consolidated figures up to 29 June 2026.
