During the quarter, Lumax Auto completed the acquisition of the remaining 25% stake in IAC India, strengthening its position in EV interior solutions. The company also incorporated two new wholly owned subsidiaries: Lumax Autocomp and Lumax Auto Solutions to tap into emerging opportunities in the auto sector. The board approved the opening of a branch office in China and a new R&D and innovation centre, SHIFT (Smart Hub for Innovation and Future Trends), in Bengaluru.

Passenger vehicles accounted for 55% of total revenue in Q1, followed by 2/3 wheelers at 21%, commercial vehicles at 11%, and aftermarket at 10%. In terms of business mix, advanced plastics contributed 51%, structures and control systems 18%, alternate fuels 9%, aftermarket 10%, and mechatronics 5%.

New launches during the quarter included shark fin antennas and feeder assemblies for models from Mahindra & Mahindra, Honda Cars (exports), and Toyota.
