KYT Helmets Introduces Race Spec R1R Model

KYT Helmets has officially launched its R1R full face racing helmet in India. The new model, which incorporates development inputs from the brand's MotoGP racing program, is priced from Rs 39,000.

The helmet utilizes a tricomposite shell construction that combines carbon fibre, aramid fibre, and fibreglass to balance strength and weight. This outer shell is paired with a multi-density EPS liner designed for progressive energy absorption across different impact zones. The R1R is certified to the latest ECE 22.06 European safety homologation standards.

According to the manufacturer, the aerodynamic profile of the helmet was refined through extensive wind tunnel testing to ensure stability at high speeds and during aggressive braking. The ventilation system uses integrated intake channels and a rear spoiler to manage airflow and heat dissipation. Inside, the helmet is lined with Hydrocool technical fabric for heat and moisture management.

The visor system features Optical Class 1 clarity and a metal alloy Racing Lock System to prevent accidental opening during high speed riding or impacts. The visor is Pinlock ready, though the anti-fog insert is sold separately.

The KYT R1R is available in three variant categories. The Colour Graphics range is priced at Rs 39,000, while the Carbon Graphics and Replica ranges are both priced at Rs 43,500. The helmet is distributed by House of Machines and is currently available across authorized KYT dealerships in India.
