JSW Sarbloh Motors, a subsidiary of JSW Defence Private Limited under the JSW Group, has entered into a strategic joint venture with Tomcar USA, a U.S.-based manufacturer of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), to locally produce the Tomcar TX series of off-road vehicles in India.

The collaboration aims to establish indigenous manufacturing of high-performance, rugged all-terrain vehicles tailored for defense, homeland security, and industrial applications. The vehicles will be produced at JSW Sarbloh Motors’ facility in Chandigarh, with initial units expected to be ready by early 2026. Field trials and demonstration programs are scheduled to begin in the coming months with various defense and paramilitary agencies across India.

The TX series, developed by Tomcar USA, is designed for extreme off-road conditions and has been deployed in military and industrial operations globally. Under the agreement, JSW Sarbloh Motors will handle localization, assembly, production, and after-sales support for the vehicles in India.

Parth Jindal, representative of the JSW Group, stated that the joint venture aligns with national initiatives to boost domestic defense manufacturing. “This partnership supports India’s goal of self-reliance in defense technology. The Tomcar TX platform offers durability and versatility suited for demanding operational environments,” he said.

Jaskirat Vladimir Singh Nagra, CEO and Founder Director of JSW Sarbloh Motors, emphasized the focus on delivering reliable and modular mobility solutions. “Our objective is to provide advanced, mission-ready vehicles to India’s security and industrial sectors. This collaboration brings together global design expertise and local manufacturing strength,” he noted.

Ram Zarchi, Founder and Principal of Tomcar USA, highlighted the significance of entering the Indian market through this partnership. “Teaming up with JSW allows us to bring our proven vehicle platforms to Indian users, leveraging JSW’s manufacturing capabilities. This is a key step in expanding Tomcar’s presence in right-hand-drive markets,” he said.

Mark W. Farage, Interim CEO of Tomcar USA, added that the venture reflects a long-term strategic effort. “We believe the Tomcar platform meets the evolving needs of modern defense and commercial operations. Beyond military applications, there is strong potential for use in sectors such as mining, agriculture, forestry, border security, and emergency response,” he said.

The joint venture underscores growing private-sector participation in India’s defense production landscape and reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen domestic capabilities in tactical mobility solutions.
