JSW MG Motor India Opens First MG SELECT Experience Centre in Thane

JSW MG Motor India has inaugurated its first MG SELECT Experience Centre in Thane, Maharashtra. The new centre marks the debut of the company's MG SELECT initiative, aimed at offering a premium automotive retail experience.

The new format aligns with the company’s broader strategy of expanding its presence in India’s luxury vehicle segment. Inspired by the layout of art galleries, MG SELECT showrooms focus on vehicle presentation with a minimalist spatial design. The experience centres are designed to provide personalized services and showcase MG’s product range, the company said.

By the end of Q3 2025, JSW MG Motor India plans to open 14 MG SELECT centres across 13 cities in India.

Models on display at the Thane location include the MG Cyberster, promoted as the world’s fastest MG, and the MG M9, positioned as a presidential limousine.

Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director of JSW MG Motor India, stated that the company aims to “redefine the car ownership journey” and cater to the growing demand in India’s luxury automotive segment.

JSW MG Motor India is a joint venture formed in 2023 between China-based SAIC Motor and India’s JSW Group. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, with an annual production capacity exceeding 100,000 units.

MG has introduced multiple models in the Indian market, including the MG Hector, ZS EV, Gloster, Astor, Comet, and Windsor.
