JSW MG Motor India gains rush for seven AI-driven startups in Electric Mobility under MG Developer Program Season 5.0

JSW MG Motor India has accelerated seven startups focused on artificial intelligence (AI) in electric mobility as part of its MG Developer Program (MGDP) Season 5.0. The initiative, supported by ecosystem partners, aims to foster innovation in AI applications within the electric mobility sector. The selected startups are Anuvega Powertronics, Aselector Technologies, Emerging Technologies, Gudlyf Mobility, Power Jet (EV Urjaa), Ravity, and Vocbot AI.

The program received over 100 applications from the Indian startup ecosystem, and the chosen startups will focus on developing projects that integrate AI with electric mobility for practical applications. The theme of this season, "AI in Electric Mobility," encourages startups to explore the role of AI in transforming business operations and daily life. Over the coming months, these startups will work on pilot programs and ongoing projects that aim to implement AI-driven innovations in the electric mobility space.

The current season, which began in early 2024, is a collaboration between JSW MG Motor India and key partners like Startup India and Manthan, the office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India. A consortium of organisations, including AWS, Exicom, Lohum, and DRIIV (Delhi Research Implementation and Innovation), provided support, encouraging cooperation and technological advancement among startups.

Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer at JSW MG Motor India, commented on the initiative, stating that the MG Developer Program and Grant help empower startups to create AI solutions that address the evolving challenges of electric mobility. By offering mentorship, resources, and a collaborative environment, the program supports innovation in the AI and electric mobility sectors, which could shape India's automotive future.

The MG Developer Program received applications from 52 cities across India, and seven startups were selected as winners. Anuvega Powertronics focuses on power electronics and drivetrain solutions. Aselector Technologies offers an AI-based platform for customer experience and process optimisation. Emerging Technologies works on enhancing safety and efficiency in the automotive industry. Gudlyf Mobility develops energy storage solutions, while Power Jet (EV Urjaa) provides EV charging infrastructure. Ravity offers an AI-powered mobility management platform, and Vocbot AI delivers a multilingual, AI-driven contact center platform.

Since its inception in 2019, the MG Developer Program has collaborated with innovation partners such as Jio, SAP, and Exicom. The program has attracted over 1,550 entries, with more than 280 teams advancing to the initial rounds in previous seasons. JSW MG Motor India has worked with 34 startups to date, engaging them in various projects through the MG Developer Program and Grant.
