JK Tyre's Hasetri gets accredited by NABL as world's first Proficiency Testing Provider for Tyre Rolling Resistance

The Hari Shankar Singhania Elastomer and Tyre Research Institute (HASETRI) has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the world's first accredited Proficiency Testing Provider (PTP) for Rolling Resistance Tests. The accreditation, awarded by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), is in accordance with ISO 17043:2010 standards for testing three crucial tyre categories: C1 (passenger car tyres), C2 (light truck tyres), and C3 (heavy truck tyres).

This recognition, valid from November 30th, 2023, to November 29th, 2025, places HASETRI at the forefront of proficiency testing prowess. The accreditation is a testament to HASETRI's commitment to excellence in elastomer and tyre research, emphasising its dedication to employing simulation and prediction techniques for optimising product performance and design cycle time.

Dr. Raghupati Singhania, President of HASETRI, expressed the significance of this achievement, stating that the accreditation as a Proficiency Test Provider reflects the institute's continuous pursuit of quality and innovation. He emphasised that it is a strong indication of the laboratory and the team's commitment to developing world-class standards, particularly in areas of personnel competency and peer group comparisons of test results. HASETRI's dedicated team of scientists and engineers are deeply involved in developing technology for tyres and other rubber products in India.

The institute is accredited as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard for Chemical and Mechanical Testing of Rubber and Rubber Products. HASETRI continues to contribute to the advancement of technical manpower and cutting-edge technologies for the rubber and allied industries, earning world-class recognition in quality testing.
