JCB India Reaches 600,000 Equipment Production and Sales Benchmark

JCB India Limited has achieved a major operational milestone with the production and sale of its 600,000th construction machine in the domestic market. The landmark vehicle, a standard backhoe loader, is used for national infrastructure projects, rural development schemes, and large-scale agricultural applications due to its generalized operational versatility and material handling efficiency.

Over its decades of local presence, the multinational corporation has scaled its regional manufacturing footprint and established a localized component supplier ecosystem to build heavy machinery engineered for challenging domestic operating environments. Operating six manufacturing facilities, India now functions as a primary global export hub for the parent JCB group, shipping locally assembled construction equipment to more than 135 international markets.

Deepak Shetty, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of JCB India, stated that the volume milestone reflects the sustained institutional trust that commercial buyers, multi-generational dealership networks, and supply chain partners have placed in the brand over several decades. Shetty emphasized that as both central and state governments commit capital expenditure toward building urban and rural infrastructure, the company remains focused on upgrading its product portfolio through local engineering innovations.
