Jaya Hind Industries installs India’s largest 4400-ton high-pressure die-casting machine

Jaya Hind Industries Pvt Ltd has installed India’s largest 4400-tonne high-pressure die-casting machine at its Urse plant near Pune. Sourced from Buhler-Switzerland, this machine underscores Jaya Hind’s commitment to technological innovation and its pursuit of excellence in manufacturing.

The development marks a new era for India’s aluminum casting industry, enabling the production of complex structural components with high precision and efficiency.

This advanced die-casting machine is a breakthrough in the manufacturing of large, intricate aluminum structural parts, which were previously difficult to produce in the region. It is designed to manufacture a range of components, including structural parts like cradles, shock towers, and housings, as well as high-performance aluminum parts for electric vehicles. The machine’s capabilities extend to heavy-duty applications such as transmission and flywheel housings for commercial vehicles, reflecting its versatility and cutting-edge design.

Speaking on this significant achievement, Prasan Firodia, Managing Director of Jaya Hind Industries, expressed pride in the company’s accomplishment. “The 4400-ton machine reflects our relentless dedication to innovation and excellence,” he said. “It empowers us to meet the rising demand for large, complex structural parts for futuristic applications, particularly in the rapidly evolving EV sector. We are looking forward to enhanced production capacity and improved workflows through the same.”

This installation positions Jaya Hind Industries as a leader in advanced manufacturing, equipped to meet the demands of both domestic and international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The company’s enhanced capabilities align with the global push toward lightweight, high-strength aluminum components, critical for next-generation vehicle development.

Jaya Hind Industries, established in 1947, is a pioneer in aluminum die-casting. As part of the Dr. Abhay Firodia Group, the company provides end-to-end aluminum casting solutions for some of the most prestigious global and domestic OEMs.

With over 45 die-casting machines ranging from 160t to 4400t, Jaya Hind operates manufacturing facilities across Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, and Germany. Its client base includes BMW, Volkswagen, Cummins, Ford, and Tata Motors. The company also holds a licensing agreement with KS-Huayu, Germany, for the production of cylinder blocks and structural parts.

This landmark achievement not only strengthens Jaya Hind’s position in the global aluminum die-casting industry but also sets a new benchmark for manufacturing excellence in India.
