Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Maruti Suzuki India Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish Maruti Suzuki service facilities at select IndianOil fuel stations across India, creating an integrated solution for vehicle owners.

The partnership aims to leverage IndianOil's extensive network of over 41,000 fuel stations to expand Maruti Suzuki's existing service infrastructure of more than 5,780 touchpoints. Customers will be able to access scheduled periodic maintenance and minor repairs for their Maruti Suzuki vehicles at the same locations where they refuel.

According to Saumitra P Srivastava, Director (Marketing) at IndianOil, the company is focused on enhancing customer experience through value-added services at fuel stations. "With a network of over 41,000 fuel stations across the length and breadth of India, we are uniquely positioned to bring essential services closer to the consumer," he stated.

Ram Suresh Akella, Executive Officer (Service) at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, emphasized the collaboration's goal to simplify car servicing for customers. "By partnering with Indian Oil Corporation Limited, one of India's most trusted Maharatna enterprises, we will leverage their unmatched reach to take our after-sales service to locations frequently visited by our customers," he said.

The initiative represents a convergence of the mobility and energy sectors, witMaharatnampanies aiming to provide a one-stop solution that offers convenience and peace of mind to millions of car owners throughout India.

While similar fuel station-automotive service partnerships exist in some global markets, this collaboration marks a significant development in the Indian context, where both companies have extensive nationwide presence and customer bases.

The partnership aims to reduce the inconvenience of traveling separately for refueling and vehicle maintenance. By integrating services at fuel stations, the initiative could save customers time and effort, particularly in areas where standalone service centers may be less accessible.

Maruti Suzuki holds the largest market share in India's passenger vehicle segment. With millions of Maruti vehicles on Indian roads, this partnership could significantly enhance the accessibility of authorized service facilities for a substantial portion of the country's car owners.
