Hyundai Motor India Reports 13% Year-on-Year Growth in Exports in Q1 FY2026

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) recorded total sales of 60,924 units in June 2025, comprising 44,024 units in the domestic market and 16,900 units in exports. For the April–June quarter of FY2026, HMIL reported cumulative sales of 1,80,399 units, including 1,32,259 units sold domestically and 48,140 units exported.

SUVs made up 67.6% of Hyundai’s domestic sales in June 2025. The company’s exports for Q1 FY2026 saw a 13% year-on-year growth, increasing from 42,600 units in the same quarter of the previous year to 48,140 units. Export volumes contributed 26.7% to the overall sales for the quarter, up from 22.2% in Q1 FY2025.

Commenting on the performance, Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer of HMIL, noted that while the global geopolitical environment has affected domestic market sentiment, the company remains cautiously optimistic. He added that the anticipated production at the Talegaon facility, along with supportive monetary policy changes like repo rate and CRR reductions, may aid demand recovery.

HMIL continues to monitor market conditions and aims to deliver vehicles for both domestic and international markets with a focus on consistent performance and adaptability.
