Greaves Cotton Sets Up Wholly Owned Trading Subsidiary in Dubai
The engineering company establishes a regional distribution hub in the UAE to scale its industrial and mobility business across Middle Eastern and African markets.
Greaves Cotton Limited has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to expand its international business operations. The new entity, named Greaves International Trading FZE, has been established as part of the parent company's broader strategic roadmap to grow its global footprint.
The Dubai-based subsidiary is structured to function as a regional trading and distribution hub, specifically targeting growth markets across the Middle East and Africa. Operating out of the UAE, the unit will handle business development, localized technical support, supply chain coordination, channel partnerships, and aftermarket services. The hub will distribute Greaves Cotton's core product portfolio, which includes diesel engines, power generators, and powertrain solutions across its energy, mobility, and industrial divisions.
Parag Satpute, Managing Director and Group CEO of Greaves Cotton Limited, stated that international business serves as a primary growth driver for the company. According to the company's expansion plan, the new trading entity will initially anchor its operations within Gulf Cooperation Council markets, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain, before extending its distribution network into Levant and African territories.
