Hikrobot showcased Forklift Latent mobile Robot at Automation Expo 2024
Hikrobot introduced its innovative Forklift Latent Mobile Robot QF-1000, showcasing advancements in industrial automation. The event highlighted Hikrobot's expanding portfolio of machine vision and mobile robot solutions.
Hikrobot participated in the 17th edition of Automation Expo-Mumbai. The company showcased its latest Machine Vision Products and Mobile robots, introducing the Forklift Latent Mobile Robot QF-1000 for the first time in India. The event was inaugurated by Subramanian Sarma, President (energy) and Member of the Board, Larsen & Turbo, along with other industry figures.
Hikrobot claimed that the newly introduced Forklift Latent Mobile Robot QF-1000 combines a chassis and forks, offering flexibility and direct pallet load carrying capability. It features a lighter weight compared to traditional forklifts, making it suitable for low-floor load-bearing scenarios. The robot supports narrow roadway picking and putaway, with a 25% increase in moving speed to enhance reservoir capacity. It includes various safety protection plans for 360° protection and indicates device status through a screen, status indicator, and speaker. The robot also supports Wi-Fi communication and seamless roaming in network-covered areas.
Hikrobot also displayed the F-7 2000 TUGGING AMR, which supports natural navigation and automatic hooking and unhooking. This AMR has a load capacity of 2000 KG and offers high-precision movement with 5 mm accuracy.
The company's booth featured a range of products, including AI smart cameras, code reading systems, and control equipment for visual inspection. Machine vision solutions on display included Static and Dynamic DWS, Smart Vision Sensors, RSC Software, and various cameras and accessories. The exhibit also showcased Intelligent AMR Products and an Accessory Platform.
Ashish P. Dhakan, MD & CEO of Prama Hikvision India Private Limited, commented on the company's participation and new product launch at the expo. He highlighted the relevance of their solutions to various industry segments.
The Indian construction and earth moving equipment industry has been a key contributor to the country's infrastructure development. As of 2024, the market size is estimated to be around $6.5 billion, with projections suggesting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 7-8% over the next five years.
This growth is primarily driven by government initiatives in infrastructure development, urbanization, and industrial expansion. The industry encompasses various equipment types, including excavators, loaders, and cranes, with backhoe loaders being particularly popular in the Indian market.
Major international players like JCB, Caterpillar, and Komatsu compete alongside domestic manufacturers such as BEML and Tata Hitachi. The sector has seen increased demand for technologically advanced and fuel-efficient machines, reflecting a growing emphasis on productivity and environmental considerations.
