Hero MotoCorp reports sales of 4.60 lakh units in November 2024

Hero MotoCorp highlights steady growth with new launches across ICE and EV segments, robust festive season sales, a 36% rise in exports, and significant milestones for its VIDA EV brand and Harley-Davidson X440.

Hero MotoCorp reports sales of 4.60 lakh units in November 2024

Hero MotoCorp, a leading global manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, reported sales of 459,805 units in November 2024. The company is focusing on expanding its premium and scooter portfolio with the introduction of new models in both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) segments. It anticipates positive growth in the coming months, supported by favorable economic conditions and improving customer sentiment.

VIDA, Hero MotoCorp’s EV brand, maintained steady retail sales during the festive season and recorded an increase in market share. The ongoing expansion of the VIDA network, facilitated through Hero Premia and Hero 2.0 outlets, contributed positively to the brand’s performance.

The company also observed a 36% year-on-year increase in global business sales during November 2024, reflecting a positive trend in its international markets.

During the 32-day festive period beginning from Navratri, Hero MotoCorp achieved its highest-ever retail sales, with over 1.6 million units sold. This represents a 13% growth compared to the same festive season in 2023. VIDA recorded 11,600 retail sales during this period, and the Harley-Davidson X440 registered sales of over 2,800 units.

In November, Hero MotoCorp showcased its premium motorcycles and electric vehicles at EICMA 2024. The company unveiled new models, including the Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R, Karizma XMR 250 motorcycles, and the VIDA Z electric scooter. These products are designed to appeal to a wide range of riders, from adventure and off-road enthusiasts to urban and eco-conscious consumers.

Additionally, Hero MotoCorp launched the Hero For Startups (HFS) program, which aims to support and fund startups across India with innovative ideas in the automotive sector.

In terms of performance, Hero MotoCorp sold 425,856 motorcycles and 33,949 scooters in November 2024. For the year-to-date FY25 period, the company sold 3,918,733 motorcycles and 275,003 scooters, compared to 3,540,305 motorcycles and 294,775 scooters in the year-to-date FY24 period. Domestic sales for November 2024 stood at 439,777 units, while exports accounted for 20,028 units. For the year-to-date period, domestic sales reached 4,037,846 units, with exports totaling 155,890 units.

While the November 2024 sales were slightly lower than the 491,050 units sold in November 2023, the company continues to build momentum across its product categories and markets.
