Genesys International Names Dhiman Basu Ray as CTO
Former Tech Mahindra digital engineering head to lead geospatial firm's shift into AI-powered spatial intelligence and autonomous mapping systems.
Genesys International Corporation Limited announced on Thursday the appointment of Dhiman Basu Ray as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Ray brings approximately 26 years of digital engineering and technology experience, having previously served as Global Chief Technology Officer for Digital Engineering at Tech Mahindra. His domain background covers artificial intelligence, robotics, cloud architecture, platform engineering, cybersecurity, and software-defined vehicle architectures.
In his new role, Ray will head Genesys International's technology roadmap as the company expands toward developing an AI-native spatial intelligence layer.
"Genesys is moving from mapping the world to making the physical world computable," said Sajid Malik, Chairman and Managing Director of Genesys International. "AI systems operating in the physical world need more than algorithms; they require accurate, three-dimensional and continuously updated models of their surroundings. Dhiman's experience across AI, robotics, digital engineering, and global product businesses will be invaluable as we build the technology architecture required to transform geospatial data into continuously updated spatial intelligence."
Ray, speaking about the appointment, stated, "The opportunity now is to bring together AI, digital engineering and platform thinking to transform these capabilities into a scalable Spatial Intelligence layer."
