Emerson and Tata Technologies Form Partnership for Mobility Testing Solutions
Industrial automation leader and engineering services company collaborate to develop validation frameworks for automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicle manufacturers worldwide.
Emerson, a global industrial technology company, has announced a strategic partnership with Tata Technologies to develop integrated testing and validation solutions for manufacturers in the automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicle sectors. The collaboration was announced on July 9, 2025, from Bangalore, India.
The partnership combines Emerson's test and measurement solutions with Tata Technologies' engineering services and expertise in systems engineering, electrical and electronic architectures, and mobility platforms. The companies aim to help manufacturers address the challenges of developing software-defined, connected, electric, and autonomous vehicles through scalable validation frameworks.
Initial results from pilot projects demonstrate the potential impact of the collaboration. In one engagement with a European luxury original equipment manufacturer, the partnership developed electric vehicle powertrain test rigs in five months, representing a 67% reduction from typical 15-month development timelines.
A separate project with another European brand produced a fully automated validation setup for a next-generation infotainment head-up display unit, executing over 30,000 test scenarios.
"This collaboration represents a powerful synergy between Emerson's test and measurement innovation and Tata Technologies' engineering scale," said Shitendra Bhattacharya, country head and director for Emerson's Test and Measurement business in India. "Together, we can deliver end-to-end solutions that help customers reduce complexity and stay ahead in a highly dynamic transportation landscape."
Nachiket Paranjpe, president and head of automotive sales at Tata Technologies, said the partnership addresses the growing complexity of connected and autonomous mobility platforms while reinforcing the company's commitment to engineering a software-defined future.
The companies are currently conducting pilot programs in India, Europe, and North America, with plans for additional customer collaborations and joint solution developments.
Emerson, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker EMR. The company provides automation solutions through intelligent devices, control systems, and industrial software.
Tata Technologies, based in India and trading on the National Stock Exchange under TATATECH, specializes in product engineering and digital services for manufacturing companies across multiple industries including automotive, aerospace, and industrial machinery.
