Dylect Introduces Smart Dashcam Series Starting at ₹3,499
Indian electronics brand launches three-channel dashcam variants with Sony sensors and mobile app connectivity to address growing road safety concerns.
Dylect has launched a series of smart dashcams in India with prices starting at ₹3,499, targeting drivers across various segments from individual users to fleet operators. The product line includes single, dual, and three-channel variants designed to record road incidents and provide evidence in traffic disputes.
The company's single-channel dashcam features a built-in display screen, which Dylect claims is the first in its category. The dual and three-channel models use Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensors for low-light recording conditions. All models include G-sensors that automatically save footage during sudden impacts and supercapacitor technology for operation in extreme weather conditions.
Users can control the dashcams through a mobile application available on Android and iOS platforms. The app allows access to live video feeds, setting adjustments, and direct footage downloads to mobile devices.
Dylect founder Anuj Bhatia stated that dashcams have become necessary due to increasing road incidents and safety concerns. The company has positioned the products as combining technology features with accessible pricing for Indian consumers.
The company has partnered with television personality Rannvijay Singha for its marketing campaign. Singha appears in a two-part film series called "Scam ya Dashcam?" that highlights the use of dashcams as evidence in traffic situations. The campaign will run across Google, Meta, and e-commerce platforms.
The dual-channel model records front and rear views at 4K resolution and includes Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), GPS functionality, and a 140-degree wide-angle lens. The three-channel variant adds cabin recording capability and is marketed toward families, taxi services, and fleet operators.
Each dashcam package includes a dual USB car charger that can simultaneously power the dashcam and charge a mobile device. The products are available through Dylect's website, Amazon, and Flipkart. Customers purchasing from the company's official website receive a 10% discount for a limited period.
Dylect operates as a lifestyle electronics brand in India, focusing on automotive and home technology products. The company emphasizes minimalist design and user-friendly technology in its product development approach.
