Ducati unveils new 'Overlay Capsule' lifestyle collection

Ducati has introduced its latest lifestyle collection, the Overlay capsule, which offers a modular range of apparel designed to combine the brand’s sporty identity with streetwear trends. The collection allows for versatile combinations, catering to enthusiasts looking to express their personal style.

Developed by Drudi Performance, an Italian design studio led by Aldo Drudi, the collection reflects Ducati's core values of style, sophistication, and performance. The line was created in collaboration with Spidi Sport, a renowned Italian brand specialising in technical and protective clothing for motorcyclists.

The Overlay collection features three main layers: the outer jacket (available in three variants: YO, Y4T, and YB), an intermediate softshell sweatshirt (L01), and a protective vest (P01). These pieces can be worn individually or combined, providing up to 15 different configurations suitable for varying seasons and preferences.

The outer jackets—Overlay YO, Y4T, and YB—blend functionality with streetwear influences. They all incorporate transparent polyurethane panels and 3D mesh linings to create a distinctive play of shadows and transparency. The YO model takes inspiration from skateboarding jackets, featuring a relaxed fit, an adjustable hood, and an all-over Ducati shield print. The Y4T jacket offers a minimalist, urban design with four front pockets and an oversized cut, while the YB model reinterprets the classic bomber jacket with a short, fitted design.

The L01 sweatshirt, made from softshell fabric, provides additional warmth and can be worn alone or layered with the jackets. It features a minimalist design with the Ducati shield on the chest.

For motorcyclists, the P01 protective vest serves as the base of the Overlay system. It is made from a mix of mesh and anti-abrasion fabric, offering ventilation and protection. The vest includes shoulder and elbow protectors, with an option to add a back protector. The P01 can be combined with any item from the Overlay capsule, adding an extra layer of functionality.

The Overlay capsule collection represents Ducati’s latest foray into lifestyle clothing, bridging the gap between technical motorcycling gear and contemporary streetwear.
