Ducati Launches 2025 Multistrada V2 in India Starting at Rs 18.88 Lakh
Italian motorcycle manufacturer launches redesigned adventure touring bike featuring new V2 engine, reduced weight, and enhanced electronics package across two variants priced from Rs 18.88 lakh.
Ducati has launched the 2025 Multistrada V2 in India, marking a significant update to its mid-size adventure touring lineup with improved performance specifications and technological features.
The new model incorporates a newly developed 890cc V2 engine producing 115 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and 92 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. The redesigned motorcycle achieves a kerb weight of 199 kg without fuel for the base variant, representing an 18 kg reduction compared to its predecessor.
Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India, stated that the launch addresses growing demand in the middleweight adventure touring segment. The Multistrada V2 represents the first Ducati model introduced in India featuring the company's new V2 engine platform.
The 2025 model features a completely redesigned aluminium monocoque frame utilizing the engine as a stressed member, along with updated rear subframe and swingarm components. The chassis design follows engineering principles established in Ducati's Multistrada V4 series.
Electronic systems include five riding modes—Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro, and Wet—along with cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, and Engine Brake Control. A new five-inch TFT color dashboard manages system interfaces through redesigned handlebar controls.
The V2 S variant adds Ducati Skyhook Suspension electronic control with semi-active damping, a Minimum Preload function for simplified ground contact, and the Ducati Multimedia System with optional turn-by-turn navigation. Both models include standard cruise control and USB charging integration.
Suspension components consist of Marzocchi 45mm forks and rear shock absorbers offering 170mm of travel. The V2 S employs electronic control, while the base V2 uses mechanical adjustment. Braking hardware includes Brembo components with dual 320mm front discs and a 265mm rear disc mounted on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear aluminum wheels.
The motorcycle accommodates E20 fuel specifications current in India. Valve clearance service intervals are set at 45,000 km.
Available accessories include luggage cases in plastic or aluminum materials, protective elements, center stand, and optional spoked wheels for off-road capability. Ducati has developed complementary riding apparel specifically for the Multistrada V2 platform.
The 2025 Multistrada V2 is available at Indian dealerships in three configurations: Multistrada V2 in Ducati Red at Rs 18,88,000, Multistrada V2 S in Ducati Red at Rs 20,99,800, and Multistrada V2 S in Storm Green at Rs 21,29,700. All prices are ex-showroom India.
