Cummins India Limited has entered into a partnership with the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Project, supplying its environment-friendly CPCB IV+ gensets to power the iconic landmark.

The CPCB IV+ emission standards, mandated by the government of India, are among the most stringent norms for power generation engines, resulting in a significant reduction in particulate matter (PM) and harmful oxides of nitrogen (NOx) concentrations.

Enforced by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) since July 1, 2023, the CPCB IV+ standards aim to enhance environmental sustainability. Compared to the earlier CPCB II standards, these measures lead to an approximate 90% reduction in PM and NOx concentrations.

Notably, the latest CPCB IV+ emission standards establish a single norm for both prime and stand-by use gensets, covering all fuel types for engines with a power output of up to 800 kWh.

Cummins India's contribution to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Project aligns with the commitment to provide environment-friendly power solutions. The partnership emphasises the importance of adhering to stringent emission standards for a cleaner and greener environment.
