BMW Launches New 2 Series Gran Coupé in India Starting at ₹46.90 Lakh

BMW Launches New 2 Series Gran Coupé in India Starting at ₹46.90 Lakh

BMW India has launched the second-generation 2 Series Gran Coupé, with prices starting at ₹46.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 218i M Sport variant. The higher-spec 218i M Sport Pro is priced at ₹48.90 lakh. The model is locally assembled at BMW Group’s Chennai plant and is available in petrol-only variants, with bookings and deliveries commencing today.

The new 2 Series Gran Coupé comes with updated dimensions, a redesigned exterior, and a range of standard features including the M Sport package, the company said. The vehicle now measures 4546 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, and 1445 mm in height, with a 2670 mm wheelbase.

It is powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The car accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 230 km/h. A Sport Boost function is available for increased performance.

Exterior updates include the new shark-nose design, BMW’s Iconic Glow Kidney Grille, and adaptive LED headlights. The interior features a fully digital BMW Curved Display, Veganza (leather-free) upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon audio system, and a head-up display with augmented view. The vehicle is offered in Brooklyn Grey Metallic, Portimao Blue, Black Sapphire, and Alpine White paint options, with interior trims in Mocha or Oyster.

Key features include the latest BMW Operating System 9, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Driving Assistant with blind spot and collision warnings, Parking Assistant Plus with surround view, and Reversing Assistant. BMW Digital Key Plus allows smartphone access and can be shared with multiple users.

Customers can also opt for extended service and warranty plans through BMW Service Inclusive, with packages available for up to 10 years or 2,00,000 km. Financing options through BMW India Financial Services include monthly instalments starting from ₹35,000 with assured buyback.
