Bengaluru-based Ionage plans to onboard 1 lakh EV chargers on its platform by 2028

Bengaluru-based Ionage plans to onboard 1 lakh EV chargers on its platform by 2028

Bangaluru-based EV charging aggregator platform – Ionage – has revealed its ambitious expansion plans, with the company eyeing to onboard over 100,000 EV chargers located across the country, on its platform by CY2028. The company, which presently has around 3,000 nationwide EV charging points integrated on its mobile application, aims to double the number soon.

The company says it is ambitiously working towards integrating a network of over 100,000 EV chargers onto its roaming platform. This initiative aims to empower over 10,000 small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to enter the EV charging sector by CY2028. The company aims to enhance ownership experience of EV users, and recently also introduced India's first digital solar-based EV charging platform, enabling EV charging using solar credits anytime, anywhere.

According to Vimal Kumar V, CEO, Ionage, “Our mission is to democratise the EV charging ecosystem and accelerate the adoption of EVs throughout India. Our products are strategically designed to connect and integrate the currently disintegrated EV charging infrastructure, paving the way for a seamless and accessible network. We are dedicated to addressing and reducing the existing frictions in the EV charging market, with the goal of eliminating barriers and enhancing the overall EV ownership experience, playing our part in shaping the future of electric mobility in India.”

Ionage’s roaming platform claims to offer a comprehensive charging solution for EV owners, facilitating seamless charging experiences across diverse networks and touchpoints including communities, offices, electric vehicles, and highways. The company has a current listing of 3,000 charge points nationwide on its platform.

With a strong network of partners, including major oil marketing companies, leading EV manufacturers in the country like MG Motor India, as well as popular community management platforms such as 82Volt, Goego Network, Mobilane, and Verdemobility, among others, Ionage continues to rely focus on integrating the EV sector though strategic collaborations. The platform has successfully onboarded over 70,000 users, with approximately 15,000 Monthly Active Users (MAUs).
