The bike gets a larger 554cc parallel-twin engine, and a 5-inch TFT console.
Benelli India has announced the launch of the TRK 552 and TRK 552X adventure-touring motorcycles on Thursday, priced from Rs 7.22 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The standard, road-focused TRK 552 is priced at Rs 7.22 lakh, while the off-road-oriented TRK 552X is tagged at Rs 7.74 lakh. The company has also introduced a TRK 552X Limited Edition priced at Rs 7.90 lakh. Bookings for all three variants opened today across authorized Benelli Keeway dealerships nationwide.
Replacing the outgoing TRK 502 platform, both models feature a new 554cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine delivering 52 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 49 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The powertrain is mated to a six-speed transmission equipped with a slipper clutch.
Built around a tubular steel trellis frame and an aluminum swingarm, the suspension hardware comprises a 50 mm Marzocchi upside-down front fork and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Braking is handled by twin 320 mm floating front discs and a 260 mm rear disc, supported by Bosch dual-channel ABS and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
Cockpit updates include a 5-inch TFT display offering Bluetooth integration, turn-by-turn navigation, and T-BOX connectivity. Additional touring features across both variants include heated grips, a heated seat, redesigned padding, hand guards, an adjustable handlebar, and a 20-litre fuel tank.
The road-oriented TRK 552 rides on 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels with Pirelli tires, offering 190 mm ground clearance and an 835 mm seat height. The TRK 552X features wire-spoked wheels with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear setup wrapped in Metzeler tires, raising ground clearance to 210 mm and seat height to 860 mm. Both motorcycles weigh 235 kg.
Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director at Benelli India, said, "With the new 554cc engine, upgraded chassis components, connected features and enhanced touring equipment, the new TRK 552 family is designed to give riders the freedom to explore further, whether their journey stays on the highway or takes them beyond it."
