Bajaj Pulsar 125, Pulsar 150 Set for August 24 Launch with Major Updates
The updated motorcycles will receive new engines, a revised chassis, monoshock suspension and additional equipment.
Bajaj Auto is set to launch updated versions of the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 on August 24, with both motorcycles expected to receive substantial mechanical and feature upgrades. The updated models have already been spotted at dealerships, indicating that their market introduction is imminent.
The two motorcycles are expected to receive a new chassis, replacing the twin-cradle frames used by the current-generation Pulsars. The revised architecture will also bring a monoshock at the rear, replacing the existing twin-shock setup. A conventional telescopic fork is expected to continue at the front.
The Pulsar 150 is also expected to receive an updated oil-cooled engine, although Bajaj has not yet disclosed its power and torque figures. The current model uses a 149.5cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 14hp and 13.3Nm.
The Pulsar 125 currently uses a 124.4cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine developing 11.8hp and 10.8Nm. Details of the updated engine have not yet been confirmed.
Both motorcycles are expected to receive significant styling revisions while retaining the familiar Pulsar design language. Updates include a redesigned headlight cowl, revised side panels and a new fully digital LCD instrument cluster. Higher variants could also receive a TFT display, following the equipment upgrades introduced on the Pulsar N160.
The braking hardware is expected to comprise a front disc and rear drum, with the base variants likely to retain single-channel ABS. Both models are also expected to receive revised ergonomics, including the replacement of the existing heel-and-toe gear shifter with a conventional toe-operated shifter.
Dealership sightings have shown the motorcycles with single-piece seats, although higher-spec versions, particularly of the Pulsar 150, could also be offered with split-seat configurations.
The updates represent another attempt by Bajaj to modernise its long-running Pulsar 125 and 150 models while retaining the nameplates' established market positioning. The company has previously expanded the Pulsar family with newer platforms and derivatives while continuing to sell the older models due to sustained demand.
The latest overhaul brings more substantial changes to the core motorcycles, including new chassis architecture, revised suspension and updated powertrain technology. Further details, including specifications, variants and pricing, are expected to be announced at the August 24 launch.
