Hyundai Motor India to Raise Vehicle Prices by up to 1% From September

Hyundai Motor India will increase prices of its vehicles by up to 1% across its portfolio from September 2026, the automaker said in a regulatory filing on Wednesday. The increase will vary by model and variant.

The company attributed the price revision to rising input and commodity costs, higher operational expenses and continuing geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainties.

Hyundai said it had been taking measures to optimise costs and absorb cost increases to limit the impact on customers. However, persistent cost pressures have prompted the company to pass on part of the increase through the price revision.

The latest move comes as Indian automakers face continued pressure from higher raw-material and commodity costs. Recent industry commentary has indicated that manufacturers are seeking to balance these cost pressures against consumer demand and the need to limit price increases.

Hyundai currently sells a range of hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs and electric vehicles in India, including the Grand i10 Nios, i20, Verna, Venue, Creta, Alcazar and Creta Electric.
