Ather to Unveil Mass-Market EL Platform Scooter at Community Day 2026
Ather Energy will unveil the first scooter from its new EL platform at the fourth edition of Community Day, to be held in Bengaluru on 29 August 2026, marking its entry into the mass-market segment.
Ather Energy Limited, one of India's leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, has announced that the fourth edition of its flagship community event, Ather Community Day, will be held in Bengaluru on 29 August 2026.
The event, themed "A New Dawn of Magic," will see the company unveil the first scooter built on its new EL platform, marking its entry into the mass-market scooter segment. Alongside the new model, Ather said it will introduce a range of innovations spanning technology, charging infrastructure and the broader ownership ecosystem.
The EL platform is described by the company as its next-generation vehicle architecture and its first entirely new platform since the Ather 450. Designed for greater versatility, scalability and manufacturing efficiency, the platform is intended to underpin Ather's product portfolio across segments going forward.
The company said the first scooter built on the EL platform will allow it to compete in the ₹1 lakh to ₹1.25 lakh price segment, a move aimed at expanding its total addressable market.
Ather Community Day is expected to bring together thousands of Ather owners, automotive and technology enthusiasts, and industry partners for a first look at the company's upcoming products and technologies.
Over the past three editions, the event has grown into one of India's closely watched automotive and technology gatherings, serving as a platform for the company to outline its roadmap and introduce new technologies to its user community. The 2025 edition, held on 30 August 2025, drew more than 4,000 attendees and featured the unveiling of the EL platform, the Redux concept vehicle, the company's next-generation fast-charging technology, and AtherStack 7.0.
