Ashok Leyland has received an order for 715 vehicles from VRL Logistics, adding to the long-standing business relationship between the two companies. The order comprises AVTR 3120 haulage trucks, BOSS 1615 trucks and Oyster staff buses.

Deliveries are already underway, with 300 vehicles delivered so far and the remaining 415 are scheduled to be supplied during the current year. The latest order comes as both companies continue to expand their engagement in the commercial vehicle and logistics segments.

The vehicle mix includes products intended for both freight transportation and employee movement operations. According to the company, the trucks include features aimed at supporting operational efficiency and reducing maintenance-related downtime for fleet operators.

VRL Logistics said the order forms part of its efforts to expand and optimise fleet operations.

“We have absolute confidence in the quality, reliability, and performance of Ashok Leyland trucks. Their strong after-sales support enables uninterrupted operations, while the rapidly expanding service network gives us a clear operational advantage. The fresh order of 715 vehicles marks a strategic deepening of our partnership to drive higher logistics efficiency,” said Dr Anand Sankeshwar, Managing Director, VRL Logistics.

Ashok Leyland stated that the partnership has evolved over several years, including collaboration on product development aligned with changing logistics requirements.
