Ashok Leyland Expands LCV Network with New Dealership in Agra, Uttar Pradesh

Ashok Leyland, a flagship company of the Hinduja Group, has inaugurated a new Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) dealership in Agra, marking its fifth LCV outlet in Western Uttar Pradesh. The dealership, operated by new channel partner Maya Autotech, is a 3S facility offering sales, service, and spare parts. It is located at Plot No. 1A, Sharda Estate, near Sharda Oil Mill, Nunihai – Agra (282006).

The new facility features modern infrastructure, advanced diagnostic tools, and dedicated quick-service bays aimed at improving customer turnaround time and service efficiency. This expansion strengthens Ashok Leyland’s growing LCV distribution network, which now includes over 850 touchpoints across India.

Ashok Leyland currently offers a range of LCV models including the BADA DOST, DOST, SAATHI, PARTNER, and MiTR. These vehicles are manufactured at the company’s Hosur production facility and are designed to meet diverse commercial transportation needs across urban and rural markets.

Viplav Shah, Head – LCV Business, Ashok Leyland Ltd., stated, “Uttar Pradesh remains a significant market for our LCV portfolio. The launch of this dealership in Agra underscores our commitment to expanding accessibility and enhancing after-sales support for our customers. With strong performance from models like DOST, BADA DOST, and the recently introduced SAATHI, we continue to see positive traction in the region.”

The SAATHI, launched as a premium entry-level small commercial vehicle (SCV) in the sub-2-ton segment, is powered by a 45 HP engine delivering 110 Nm of torque. It claims the largest loading area and an industry-leading payload capacity of 1,120 kg in its category. Priced starting at ₹6,69,999 (ex-showroom), it is positioned as a competitive option for small business owners and last-mile logistics operators.

The BADA DOST, built on a new LCV platform, is available in five variants—i2, i3+, i5, i5XL, and i5+. Equipped with an 80 HP BS6-compliant engine, it offers best-in-class power, mileage, and loading space. The model starts at ₹10,86,000 (ex-showroom) for the i5 variant.

The DOST lineup includes DOST XL and DOST+ XL variants, priced from ₹8,30,000 (ex-showroom), targeting intra-city and last-mile delivery applications. The PARTNER, designed for the 4-ton payload segment, is offered in both 4-tyre and 6-tyre configurations with load body options ranging from 10 to 17 feet. It is powered by the ZD30 CRDI engine and starts at ₹17,53,000 (ex-showroom).

The MiTR bus, based on the same platform as the PARTNER, is available as a staff bus and school bus. Compliant with national school bus safety standards, it is priced from ₹26,50,000 (ex-showroom) and is engineered for fuel efficiency and ride comfort in stop-and-go traffic.

Ashok Leyland reports that more than 5.5 lakh LCV units are currently operational across India. The company maintains one of the largest commercial vehicle service networks in the country, with over 1,700 exclusive outlets. Its service centers are strategically located approximately every 75 kilometers along major national highways, supporting a service retention rate of nearly 70%.
