Ascendion Acquires Moodys to Boost Product Management

Ascendion, a provider of AI-powered software engineering solutions, announced the acquisition of Moodys Northwest Consulting (Moodys), a digital transformation and product strategy firm based in Bellevue, Washington. The acquisition aims to strengthen Ascendion’s capabilities in product management and support enterprise clients in building AI-enhanced software products that align with business outcomes.

Moodys will operate as Ascendion’s Product Management Center of Excellence, contributing its methods, talent, and proprietary frameworks to enhance product strategy, agile delivery, and AI engineering integration, Ascendion said. The combined offerings are intended to help clients improve digital adoption, reduce software defects, and increase engineering velocity.

Karthik Krishnamurthy, CEO of Ascendion, stated that strong execution is essential in an AI-driven environment. He said the integration of Moodys’ product strategy with Ascendion’s AI-led engineering and its proprietary ‘Engineering to the Power of AI’ method will help businesses deliver high-impact outcomes.

According to the companies, Moodys has helped enterprise clients achieve results such as:

  • Up to 8x increase in digital product adoption

  • 80–90% reduction in software defects

  • 2–3x improvement in engineering velocity

These capabilities will be combined with Ascendion’s global delivery network and AI development platform, AAVA, to provide:

  • Integrated delivery across product, design, AI, and engineering

  • AI-assisted decision-making across the product lifecycle

  • Execution linked to key performance indicators

  • Global scale with localized client engagement

Moodys’ CEO, Ameet Moodbidri, said the firm’s clients are focused on accelerating time-to-market and enhancing customer engagement through a combination of design, product management, AI, and engineering. He noted that the partnership with Ascendion would enable Moodys to offer expanded capabilities while maintaining its current leadership and client engagement approach.

Hiten Patel, Chairman of Ascendion, said the acquisition aligns with the company’s strategy to deliver AI-powered software products that scale effectively and generate measurable business outcomes. He added that combining Moodys’ product expertise with Ascendion’s engineering capabilities would help bridge the gap between strategy and execution.

Canaccord Genuity served as the exclusive financial advisor to Moodys Northwest Consulting for the transaction.

Ascendion is a provider of AI-powered software engineering solutions serving over 400 Global 2000 clients across North America, APAC, and Europe.
