Aimtron Secures First European Order Worth ₹3.8 Crore
Indian electronics manufacturer enters European market with box-build contract for automotive and industrial applications.
Aimtron Electronics Limited has secured its first order from a European original equipment manufacturer (OEM), marking the company's entry into the European market. The box-build contract, valued at approximately €359,455 (₹3.88 crore), comes from an EU-headquartered company with manufacturing operations in Spain that serves automotive and industrial customers globally.
The Vadodara-based electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM) company, which also operates in the United States, announced the development on Tuesday. The order involves producing high-value box-build solutions for European end-markets.
According to the company, the contract is strategically significant as it demonstrates Aimtron's ability to meet the quality, safety, and compliance standards required by European automotive customers. Based on discussions with the client and visibility into future programs, Aimtron expects revenue from this engagement could grow three to four times the current order size in the 2027 financial year.
The timing of the order aligns with the recently announced India-Europe Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which is anticipated to facilitate increased trade flows and supply-chain diversification by European OEMs seeking alternatives to existing manufacturing arrangements.
Sneh Shah, Whole-time Director at Aimtron Electronics Limited, said the company has invested in building capabilities across box-build, traceability, and program management to meet European automotive requirements. "This engagement reflects that readiness and provides a clear pathway to scale programs across European end-markets," Shah stated.
The European order follows Aimtron's recent acquisition of a US-based ESDM and original design manufacturer (ODM) company, which expanded its engineering capabilities and customer base in North America. The company views these moves as part of a broader strategy to expand internationally while maintaining India as its primary manufacturing base.
Aimtron Electronics was incorporated in 2011 and began manufacturing operations in 2012. The company initially worked under a consignment contract model with a major ODM before developing its current business structure.
