Skoda Auto India Launches ‘G.O.A.T’ Campaign With Multi-Car Relay Record
Škoda Auto India has launched its new ‘Greatest On A Track’ campaign by setting a multi-car relay record at the CoASTT circuit in Coimbatore.
Škoda Auto India has unveiled a new brand campaign titled ‘G.O.A.T – Greatest On A Track’, aimed at underlining the performance-oriented positioning of its product range and motorsport heritage.
The campaign was launched alongside a record recognised by the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records for the ‘Fastest Multi-Car Relay of a Single Manufacturer on a Circuit’. The attempt took place at the Coimbatore Automotive Sports and Technical Training (CoASTT) circuit, where a fleet of five Škoda models completed the relay in a combined time of 12:30.97, including pit-lane driver changeovers.
The relay featured the Kylaq 1.0 AT, Kushaq 1.5 DSG, Slavia 1.5 DSG, Kodiaq Selection L&K and the Octavia RS. Among the participating vehicles, the Octavia RS recorded the quickest lap time at 2:10.85 on the 3.8km circuit.
“For us, motorsport DNA isn’t a halo; it is inherent, and it comes standard across our entire range,” said Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, adding that the campaign is intended to highlight the company’s focus on driving dynamics, safety and performance engineering across segments.
The automaker said the campaign aligns with its broader differentiation strategy and builds on Škoda’s global motorsport history, which dates back more than a century. The company also highlighted the legacy of its RS (Rally Sport) badge, first introduced with the Škoda 130 RS in 1975.
Škoda Auto India currently sells the Kylaq, Slavia, Kushaq and Kodiaq in the domestic market, and said it has expanded its network to more than 330 customer touchpoints across 182 cities.
