Timken India Receives Dual BIS Licenses Across Bharuch Manufacturing Plants

Timken India has been awarded two Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) licenses for its bearing products, the company announced on Friday. The certifications cover Spherical Roller Bearings (SRB) produced at its new Bharuch facility and Cylindrical Roller Bearings (CRB) manufactured at its older Bharuch plant.

The regulatory approval validates the company's product design, testing, and quality control systems against national safety and performance standards. The certification is expected to lower technical qualification barriers for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), shorten lead times, and streamline tender documentation for regulated industrial and transportation sectors.

"These licenses enable us to better serve industrial sectors that demand certified, high-performance bearings from automotive and rail to heavy industries and renewables," Sanjay Koul, Managing Director, Timken India, said.
