Yamaha Motor India sales up 20.5% in March 2013
April 1, 2013: Yamaha Motor India has registered a growth of 20.5 percent in sales during March 2013 as compared to the corresponding period last year.
April 1, 2013: Yamaha Motor India has registered a growth of 20.5 percent in sales during March 2013 as compared to the corresponding period last year. The company sold 35,782 units in March 2013 as against 29,819 units sold in March 2012. Its export sales were 14,691 units in March 2013 as compared to 12,067 units in March 2012, a growth of 22 percent. Overall sales in March 2013 were 50,473 units compared to 41,886 units in March 2012, a 20.5 percent growth.
The 113cc Ray scooter, launched in September last year, has driving growth along with the company’s focus on marketing activities. At present, the company’s motorcycle portfolio comprises the Fazer (153cc), FZ-S (153cc), FZ (153cc), SZ-X, SZ-R (153cc), YZF-R15 Version 2.0 (150cc), SS125 (123cc), YBR 125 (123cc), YBR 110 (106cc) and Crux (106cc). Its import portfolio includes the VMAX (1,679cc), YZF-R1 (998cc) and FZ1 (998cc).
