Yamaha launches limited edition of FZ-S, Fazer

Yamaha launches limited edition of FZ-S, Fazer

November 7, 2012: India Yamaha Motor has launched limited editions of its FZ-S and Fazer bikes to increase sales ahead of the upcoming festive season. Both the limited edition FZ-S and Fazer bikes have undergone cosmetic changes that includes a new logo and paint finishes. Both bikes will now be in blue with the Limited edition logo on it. The 2012 Yamaha FZ-S Limited Edition model is priced at Rs 73,030 while the Fazer will cost Rs 78,130, ex-showroom Delhi.

Since the launch of FZ series in 2008, IYM says the bikes have been quite popular with youngsters. Therefore, the company has launched these limited editions keeping in mind these young and enthusiastic customers who may wish to upgrade. The engine specs of both limited edition Yamaha FZ-S as well as the Yamaha Fazer remain unchanged with the same 153cc, air cooled-single cylinder four stroke engine doing duty. The engine which generates maximum power of 14 Bhp at 7500 rpm with maximum torque of 13.6 Nm at 6000 rpm has been mated to a five-speed gearbox.

Yamaha recently launched its first scooter, the Ray targeted at women. The company claims to have got atleast 9000 bookings for the scooter. The company is also opening a new plant in the south.
