VW India launches refreshed Jetta
Mumbai OCT 30, 2013: Volkswagen has launched a refreshed Jetta that comes with new features that include powerful Xenon headlamps with headlamp washers, LED daytime running lights, dual-zone Climatronic AC, and new 16-inch alloy wheels.
Mumbai OCT 30, 2013: Volkswagen has launched a refreshed Jetta that comes with new features that include powerful Xenon headlamps with headlamp washers, LED daytime running lights, dual-zone Climatronic AC, and new 16-inch alloy wheels.
The car has also been fitted with a 12-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, 60:40 folding rear seat, front- and rear-mounted proximity sensors, high-end Bluetooth-compatible music system, advanced digital instrument panel with multi-function display (MFD), cruise control and paddle shifters for the DSG gearbox. The Jetta gets a host of safety features, including anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic stabilization program (ESP) and six airbags.
While the Jetta petrol (1.4L TSI) gets 122 horsepower and 200Nm of torque, and boasts an ARAI-certified 14.69kmpl of fuel efficiency, the Jetta 2.0L TDI is even more powerful, with 140 horsepower and 320Nm of torque, and an ARAI-certified 19.33kmpl of fuel efficiency for the manual and 16.96kmpl for the DSG automatic. Arvind Saxena, managing director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India said,” We are sure that the new Jetta, with its range of petrol and diesel engine options and optional six-speed DSG automatic transmission, will offer a delightful driving experience for premium-segment car buyers in the Indian market.” The Jetta range is now available at all Volkswagen showrooms across the country and is priced from Rs 13.70 lakh to Rs 19.43 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi. Over the last 12 months, over 2500 Jettas have been sold.
