Volkswagen expands dealer network in South India with new facility in Pondicherry

In line with its aim to expand the sales and service network in fast-growing Tier 2 and 3 markets, German carmaker  opens new dealership with 5-car display and 7 service bays

Even as Volkswagen India gears up for the launch of the Taigun SUV later this year, the German carmaker is assiduously going about expanding and strengthening its dealer network. Today, in line with its aim to expand the sales and service network in fast-growing Tier 2 and 3 markets, the company inaugurated a new delership in the city of Pondicherry (Puducherry).

Led by Arun Uppuswamy, Director, KUN Capital Motors, the new facility is located at Cuddalore Main Road, Ariyankuppam. The split 3S (Sales, Service & Spares) facility comprises a five-car display in the showroom that displays the new SUVWs (Tiguan Allspacev and T-Roc) along with Polo and Vento. The new dealership also has seven service bays, which will cater to all the service and maintenance repairs for the region, handled by highly trained and skilled technicians.

Commenting on the inauguration of this new facility, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “The Southern region has always been an important region for Volkswagen India. With the launch of our biggest product offering – Taigun planned for 2021 – the new facility in Puducherry will amplify our presence in the region. The Volkswagen experience will be more accessible for customers, especially with a trusted partner like KUN Motors. We’re confident of offering Volkswagen’s strong German engineered product portfolio coupled with an exemplary customer experience.”

Volkswagen India currently has a network of 150 sales and 116 service touch-points covering 108 cities across the country.
