Vishnu Mathur is new DG of Siam

He succeeds Dilip Chenoy who moves to the National Skill Development Corporation as CEO. A graduate of Delhi University, Mathur joined the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association in 1994 after working with the CII for 14 years.

As executive director, Acma, he was involved in the development of the Automotive Mission Plan and is a member of various committees related to the automotive industry. His work in Acma included consensus building within the industry and also promoting its growth and development.

Dr Pawan Goenka, president, automotive sector, Mahindra & Mahindra said, “We are pleased to have Vishnu join SIAM as the Director General. I am sure that with his close association with the various stakeholders of the automotive industry and his deep understanding of the issues and opportunities surrounding the auto industry, Vishnu will be able to provide the leadership to SIAM.”
