TVS Logistics appoints Gordon Silvey as global head - customer development

TVS Logistics appoints Gordon Silvey as global head - customer development

April 25: TVS Logistics Services has announced the appointment of Gordon Silvey to its senior management team, as Global Head - Customer Development. In his new role, Gordon will be responsible for continuing the worldwide growth of TVS Logistics, its subsidiaries and joint ventures. Silvey will be based out of TVS Logistics’ Chennai office and will be reporting to S Ravichandran, executive director, TVS Logistics Services.

Commenting on his new role, Gordon Silvey said, “I am quite excited to be a part of the TVS Group which is known for its ethics and values that it offers to its customers. With my background and experience in the global logistics sector, I am sure I will be able to add further value in my new role at TVS Logistics.”

Announcing Silvey’s appointment, S Ravichandran said, “He will bring in his rich global experience and share the knowledge of expectations of global logistics customers that would help develop opportunities and leverage TVS Logistics’ strong existing customer relationships.”

Gordon, an alumnus of the prestigious Cranfield University and Henley Management Schools in the United Kingdom, has over 30 years of experience in global supply chain, logistics and transportation service sectors. Working previously in senior roles for United States Lines (shipping); FedEx (logistics); Ryder Europe (transportation and logistics); Ryder GSCS (global supply chain solutions); Linfox Logistics (Asia-Pac logistics); Australia Post (Asia-Pac logistics), he has an exceptional track record as a leader and expert in global customer development in the supply chain, logistics and transportation service sectors.
